First stop: Halfmoon Bay
The look and feel of the Sunshine Coast changes a bit after leaving the town of Sechelt and travelling towards Pender Harbour. Small communities like Halfmoon Bay and Redrooffs give the impression that one is very far away from the big city.
Local residents in this area are less likely to be Vancouver commuters for the sake of distance. The percentage of retired residents and homes for seasonal usage goes up. Truly, this part of the Sunshine Coast is very scenic; there are bays and marinas, resorts and Bed & Breakfasts, parks and trails. There are several view points, ideal for taking the most stunning pictures of coastal scenery.
