The world is a risky place - but not the Sunshine Coast

May 20th, 2013

The world of finance is risky, walking down the street is risky, even work is quite risky. Yet, we want to make the best of things and endeavour to progress in life. Are there safe ways to achieve that?

It's all, everything really, so risky - yet we keep on endeavouring to do things, to improve life and to get ahead. We obviously accept some risk.

Sunshine Coast basic real estate market understanding

May 17th, 2013

We’re looking for somebody who can teach out the intricacies of the Real Estate market, specifically the one on the Sunshine Coast. As it turns out, we might really be looking in vain, as the market remains a true mystery.

The beauty of the Sunshine Coast may never change - but market values of real estate here will change. They go up and down, but mostly up, certainly in the long run.

Ready to make your Sunshine Coast real estate purchase

May 1st, 2013

What’s the spread between asking price and selling price? Do you normally receive a counter offer to your first offer? What’s normally included in an offer? That and many other questions will come up when you are ready to buy.

Assuming you're not a "professional" buyer, there are definitely certain things you should do and other things you should not do, when making an offer on real estate.

Adding value to your home in a hurry

April 28th, 2013

How, on earth, can you add value “in a hurry” to a house? Isn’t it already worth a certain amount that you can really do nothing about? How can you change a property’s value without “the market” actually changing?

Relatively simple steps can make your house more attractive to prospective buyers, leading to better odds of sale and perhaps even a better selling price.

Your opinion on Sunshine Coast real estate counts

April 26th, 2013

We all know something or rather about real estate, we buy, we rent, we sell, we move; most people find the topic of houses and real estate quite interesting. Your opinion counts and your input is appreciated and actually required.

Everybody's got to live somewhere so we all might have something to say about housing, about the real estate market and even about the laws that govern our properties.

April 24th, 2013

Choices, you are faced with many real estate choices – now, a bit later or much later. Real estate gives you possibilities to take a certain life direction at some point. Let’s have a quick look at some of those real estate choices.

Making jokes about real estate jargon

April 23rd, 2013

Real estate is simple, isn’t it? You buy it, you live in it, you sell it. Heck, you might even mortgage it or rent it out or let somebody else live in it. When it’s so uncomplicated, why do realtors use pompous words along the way?

There's no real reason to use "jargon" unless it would be for efficiency. Truthfully, people often just use jargon to set them apart from the non-initiated.

What are the future economics of real estate?

April 19th, 2013

As soon as you see “the future” written down, you may as well look away, say some. After all, how can anybody say something smart about “the future”. Still, there are highly studied people who do nothing but make economic predictions.

A glass ball is all you need to make a reliable forecast - almost as reliable as those made by the professional economists who perform forecasting for a living.

10 Years ago on the Sunshine Coast: April 2003

April 10th, 2013

The month of April in the year 2003 was quite busy with 112 real estate sales of single family homes, strata properties and vacant land transactions on the Sunshine Coast. Compared to today’s values, we can only be amazed at the low prices back then – exactly 10 years ago.

Selling your own house, how good an idea is that?

April 6th, 2013

Come to a professional real estate website and ask the question if it’s a good idea to try and sell your own house, without the help of a Realtor. Of course the answer is a resounding “no” because we want your business.

You don't have to run to a car dealer to buy or sell a car. You can look for a private sale - the question remains if that's any easier or more economical; and how about warranties and recourse?
